Bullets		Bullets is a retrieval technology with these characterisitics:
Indexes		Highly compact (10% of text size) Not 'inverted' Very fast to generate Each document generates one bullet
Documents		Text (including HTML) Image (phase 2) Sound (phase 2)
Queries ("triggers")		Natural language retrieval 'syntax'. Supports "find similar" queries.
Architecture		Bullets are mathematically related. Allow hierarchical searching. Turn the web or an intranet into its own index.
Toolkit		A toolkit is available for integrating Bullets into third party applications.
Technology		A comparison with other text-indexing techniques.

Panoramic		Panoramic is a Windows '95 and NT application for indexing a hard disk or local web site. (The technology can be applied to intranet or internet web sites.)
Drill-down paradigm		Panoramic can use most document formats, and can be extended if needed. Panoramic also uses themes to aid in a drill-down paradigm when searching. If Lectern is present, Panoramic can request dynamic abstracts of individual documents.
